What about over a fun cami with an interesting neckline? Or you could replace the buttons with some more interesting ones? Or wear it under a vest?

I usually wear button downs as a professional backdrop to something else fun in my outfit.

I think all the cute sweater vests that seem to be really easy to find this season would be perfect for spicing up button-down shirts.

I like to wear belts over them at my natural waist. I either take a ribbon sash and tie it around my waist over the button down, or use a regular belt.

I also like to wear sweater vests over them. HTH!

Same here. They're also just cute under sweaters, jackets, etc. I also wear them under wrap dresses.

I discovered it like two weeks ago. I was trying to figure out how to make this one short-sleeved wrap dress work in the fall.
