Here's an old threadstyle photo of one of my favorite pants. They are wool trouser's in a taupe color with a deeper taupe pin-stripe and a green stripe down the side. I love them but the green stripe makes them difficult to work with. I paired them here with a burgundy school-marmish sweater but i want to "sex up" the pants w/a different top. Any suggestions? All i can think of is something in burgundy or plum. I'm open to this color or any color.
I don't know if you do lacy/ruffles at all, but I'm seeing something in an ivory maybe, with a bit of flounce. I love ivory and green together. I also like green and pink, so if you have a pink sweater or top I think that would work too. Or you could do a black top and red shoes...

I'd love it with a really well-fitted, slightly ruffly short-sleeved blouse, like the ones gap/ae/jcrew had over the summer. You could undo the top buttons and wear a cool necklace.
