**UPDATE**

Apparently the shipping is not actually free. Please review your order confirmations if you have ordered from Anthro online this week. This is what someone on another board said:

"Rant! There's a catch to the Anthropologie free shipping deal...
I placed an order early Monday morning and my first confirmation email said I would receive free shipping. I received another confirmation email today saying I would be charged $12 for "postage and handling."

I think this is misleading. Beware if you think you're getting a shipping discount from Anthropologie. They've found another way to charge you for the lost shipping fee. I emailed CS and told them to honor the free shipping offer.

I'm sure they'll come up with some BS answer that postage and handling is something different."

It's about time. Their shipping prices are obscene. I think if someone is paying over $200 or $300 shipping should be free as a curtesy for good business. But of course I think all shipping should be free...

Ditto. How about a coupon code or something - It annoys me when stores dont thank there customers.

woo hoo! I thought the day would never come.  I've been looking to purchase some things online that were on sale but wasn't willing to pay their high shipping costs.

It is really important to complain and complain often to Anthropologie about their exorbitant shipping cost AND false advertising. Many times items seem one way on their website and catalog and when you receive it, it is completely different.


I'm pretty good friends with the manager and a few of the sales girls at my local Anthropologie and I let them know often of these concerns. They express that lots of customers feel the same way and they do let corporate know about it.


So, complain away!

i find that hard to believe- they will probably be refunded that amount- maybe the system hadn't gone into effect yet.  Postage is the same thing as shipping...

I just got a shipping confirmation from Anthro this morning and I wasn't charged postage and handling. If you got charged for shipping and you ordered Monday morning they must have made a mistake.  You should try to call and talk to CS.
