help me make this happen

My boyfriend is in Spain (madrid) and he is in a situation where he eats at the Hotel (at their restaurant) everyday... because it is being paid for.  I feel really bad because the menu only has like three things on it and there are no restaurants in walking distance to him.

I want to somehow have food delivered to his hotel room or something along those lines so that he can eat a real meal.

Does anyone have any ideas?

I'm not sure how complicated you want to make it, but this link from Restaurants.com will take you to a list of restaurants in Madrid that are coded by which ones deliver. It includes phone numbers and all of that. So if you speak Spanish you could just call and do that.

Otherwise, call the concierge at the hotel he's staying at and ask him or her to help you place an order from a nearby yummy restaurant?

I was going to suggest going to Google Earth and seeing what restaurants are near his hotel, but I think littlebean's idea is much easier.

three things on the menu? doesn't look that way to me - it's a pretty nice place as a matter of fact... what, does he want a hamburger or something? the kitchen should be able to make it for him... I wouldn't knock myself out trying to find a home cooked meal for him - it's going to be the same stuff you see on this menu no matter where he goes:

ETA: so Nicoley, are you trying to tell me he doesn't like breaded pig's trotters stuffed with black pudding?

dude - you're right - he's right - there's nothing there. he can try walking into the main part of getafe to find some paella or pizza (it's not pizza like we know pizza though)

everything is olives, olive oil, ham, and red wine for the most part. the pizza is typically oil, herbs and cheese... he might like paella... seafood and rice dish with saffron...

I actually had olive oil ice cream in Jaen (it was honestly very good!)

I thought he was foreign - where is he from originally?

he is from zimbabwe.  And he is extremely picky.  Even in the States.  He is an athlete, so he obviously eats very very very very healthy, nothing with fat.  I did mention for him to get pizza, but now that you described it, he wont like that.

Its really hard for him to get around, he doesnt really have a large cash flow, hes only able to be there because the team is paying for everything, including his hotel and all his meals there.

Can i just mention... you girls are so sweet to try to help me out :)

ETA... he loves rice, he eats alot of it here

well, olives and olive oil are good fat and one of the healthiest things you can eat.  The hamon is very thinly sliced and a good source of protein. Asparagus is also very popular there. A mediterranean diet is a very healthy diet, but if you have a finicky palate, then you just need to broaden your horizons and get your nourishment. hell, I unknowingly ate pig balls on an intranational flight in China once without knowing it - it wasn't that bad. it would have only been bad had I known what I was eating! it by no means was bad for me - it's all cultural. it's like the kid at the Summer Palace in Beijing running around with a deep fried frog on a stick and happily chewing on one of it's appendages.

Paella is rice cooked with saffron and shell fish. It's wonderful and not fatty at all. I bet he would like it.
