Ruehl?

Someone mentioned in another post about a place called Ruehl.  I went to their website and it doesn't show any of there clothes.  Could someone tell me about them or show a picture?  The closest one is two hours away so Im not sure if I want to make the trip. thanks!

From what I can tell, after the highschool crown got tired of A&F, everyone started shopping at that store that insists on building a front porch into the mall, and once the kids got tired of this store, Ruehl showed up.

I've never been into the porch one (the white porch with the blue with the parents milling outside because they don't want to go in, don't know the name of it) or Ruelh becuase everyone I've seen flock to that store has been 12-17.

I've been to ruehl once, but it was so dark and loud, almost like a night club, that although the clothes seemed cute, I really couldn't tell...I was too annoyed to try things on.

i live in columbus, oh so i am blessed with the flagship stores of A&F, abercrombie, hollister and Ruehl.

my FH and I both really like Ruehl.  the SAs at our particular store are always really nice and helpful.  the lighting does kinda suck but they have killer sales.

lilykind and i both are ruehl fans so maybe she'll pipe up with her feelings on the store as well.

Ruehl has some cute stuff, but the store is kept so dark that I'm scared to buy something because I have no idea what it will look like under normal lighting!  Also, I think it's a little overpriced.

Ruehl is so dark and loud that I honestly get a headache if I'm in there longer than 5 minutes. I realize that sentance made me sound VERY old. BUT their clothes are cute enough in a really casual way. They also have some really pretty leather bags. It's an okay store, but I don't think it's worthy of a 2 hours drive.

Yes, I'm a fan...the sales are really really great.

I've only been to a store once. The SAs at the store I went to (Garden State Plaza, NJ) were really great and super helpful. They were incredibly informed about the clothes and really accomodating. The clothes are also really nice quality...they wash really well and are very durable.

Here's an older pic of me in a Ruehl jacket and skirt. I bought both items in June '05. The jacket was $64 (orig $128) and the skirt was $15 (orig. $60). I'm so sad I had to ebay the jacket recently because it no longer fits my arms, but I loooooved that jacket so much!

This tee was $10 (orig. $40)...it's so soft and the perfect length. It's really only gotten better with age.

I used to work in the music industry, so the music doesn't seem *that* loud to me. I also like dark nightclubs so I'm not bothered by the lack of light either, although the GSP location did put the clothes on lighted shelves so I could gauge the colors and look of the fabrics pretty well.

If you were making the drive, I'd suggest going to a bunch of places and making a shopping day out of it instead of just going to Ruehl though.
