Tonight we are going for Mexican for my BFF's birthday. I am fairly uninspired to dress up b/c its been really cold and we've had tons of snow. Is this too casual for a birthday dinner? Most of my friends are really casual but I am known for dressing up a bit.

tucked into high white fur-lined boots MICHAEL Michael Kors Shearling Lace Up Boot(similar to these, I couldn't find a pic of mine. Mine are actually white)


If its too casual, what could I do to dress it up a bit?

I think that's a really cute outfit and if I were going to a casual restaurant I would definitely wear something like that to a friend's birthday dinner! If I feel like my outfit is somewhat casual but I'm going to something that's a bit special, I just try to be a little extra careful with my makeup and hair to feel like I'm put together. But the outfit is a-okay in my book.

Hi, darling! Have you gotten to go snowboarding with that tons of snow yet? I think the outfit sounds fine, especially for a casual restaurant. If you do feel a little too-casual, then throw on one of those cool necklaces that I know you've got laying around.
