AAAH! I was going off to hunt down this pic, because that's what the shoes immediately reminded me of, but I see you had the same idea! I do agree that they wouldn't look great with bare pale skin, but with dark tights... gorgeous.

I love the old fashioned feel of them but I hate the ankle strap. I feel it cuts off the line of the leg when worn. That's just me though. If the strap doesn't bother you I say get them.
