I don't know if this post should go here or in the Beauty section, but since I'm shopping for them, it'll go here.

Anyway.  I need a few new makeup brushes: one for concealer, one for blush.  Any good recs?

I had a set from Sephora and my blush brush broke like that too!

I :heart sonia kashuk brushes at Target. They work nicely, and they're cheap.

Although I only have the eye shadow and eye shader brushes, I love Bobbi Brown's brushes.  I would definately say that they are worth the investment.

Sonia Kashuk brushes are exceptional for the price.

But the luxury award, in my book, goes to Japonesque. They are not inexpensive, but they are awesome.

I have a Prescriptives foundation brush I've had for years and it's held up really well.  My blush brush is from Nars and I can't say enough good things about it.  I also have the Nars bronzer brush (fat short brush) and it's great for overall application.

If you're looking for a set, Trish McEvoy brushes are the best.  I also like some of Chanel's brushes.  They have a mini-set out for xmas I believe.  It's a good time of year to get brush sets since a lot of companies are offering specials.  Good luck!

If money's no object, go for the Kevyn Aucoin set.  The blush & face/powder brushes are to die for.  However, Trish McEvoy, Anna Sui & Fresh have great prices & are worth the $$$.  Good luck.
