My list is pretty consistent with most of the ladies here.

I say "NO" to:

skinny jeans (including those tucked into boots)

leggings

crocs

ankle boots

trapeze tops (only cuz they make me look preggers)

bubble skirts

shorts in general

uggs as fashion pieces

cowboy/chunky boots

I think that is it, but I know that there are more.

my list is pretty similar... i haven't worn leggings, uggs or ugg-like boots, bubble skirts, jeans tucked into boots (though perhaps this really isn't a "trend"). i think for awhile before, i was pretty excited about trends or trendy stuff in general, but not as much now. i still incorporate some trends, however...usually the ones that don't make me feel so self-conscious.

I have managed to stay away from skinny jeans, bubble skirts, pointy toes (I know classic but I can't wear them at all) and most of all CROCS.

The Crocs were the worst as everyone wears them at disney (and they look hideously tacky) and around here quite a bit.  I shuttered when my bf got a pair as a groomsmans gift.  He actually refuses to wear them so they are sitting in a bag in the living room.  I'm so glad he has some fashion sense.

I won't do the following, mainly because they just don't look good on me, not because of a particular aversion to the trend:

leggings with long sweaters (thanks, but I just don't need an piece of clothing ending at the largest part of my body)

ankle boots

gigantic bags (I tend to fill up my bags with unneccesary stuff and as a result, they start to weigh a TON)

shorts

I think that's about it.  I'm fairly open to most things, but I have to draw the line if it doesn't look good on me.

bubble skirts

skinny jeans

uggs

Northface fleece (maybe this is just my area)

leggings

dress shorts

knickers (although I like these, I just haven't found a pair that works with any of my boots)

I haven't done ankle boots yet, though I hope to get a pair soon. I can only do the black leggings thing, and have only worn them in real life with the denim mini look. I love bubble skirts, and have been wearing them alot (though I've noticed people either think I look awesome or don't get it at all). I haven't caved to the full on croc look yet though I do own the ballet flats. I also haven't gotten into animal print, though I would like to. I think that is about all...

Most of them. If it's a "trend," not a "style," I'm pretty much out.

My general feeling is if someone was around the first time it was fashionable, they tend to see no purpose in reliving it. For me that covers pretty much all of the 1980s styles above - though I don't really mind leggings on other people as much as some of you do. I'd prefer to see leggings and footless tights than NOTHING covering the legs, thighs and rear ends of all these young and not-so-young people.

I don't think the kimono/kabuki/dolman/assorted wide-sleeved look is particularly necessary for me either.

I'm surprised no one else has mentioned the cinch belt, particularly way up on the rib cage. If that's dead and gone, I'm grateful.

And at some point I'd like to see somebody carrying something besides a hobo bag (which is the 1980s banana purse all over again). I long for a Kelly bag, an envelope, anything...
