Help - Winterizw a summer dress
Permalink Closed

I need some ideas on how to winterize a summer dress similiar to this one.  Mine has the same shape of this one, but is burgundy and black.  Would a turtleneck look bad under something like this?  Also, what shoes would you recommend.  TIA!!

That sounds like a really pretty dress.

My first suggestion would be to put a really thin knit grey turtleneck under it.  Or, what about a cami/tank under it and a creamy white or silvery grey wrap sweater.

Black and burgundy means you could wear really pretty tights...like plum, navy, loden green...and black maryjanes.  This would also look great with tall black boots!

Check out Lucky this month.  They have a similar dress that they've winterized & changed up several different ways.  It made me think of yours.

i love thin t-necks under dresses like this... you could totally get away with it and i ditto all the color choices that kittenheels suggested

i recently wore a similar shape dress that was white with small black polka dots with a black turtlneck, black capri-lenght leggings, and gray mary-jane flats.  i think it worked so i would say:  black t-neck, tights, (footless with flats or full with peep toe pumps).
