Has anyone successfully done this?  Is it expensive?  Does any shoe repair guy do this- i'm in nyc if that helps.

I live in the DC area and I took like 8 pairs in and it was around $50- any shoe repair shop will be able to do it

Are you talking about replacing the heel tip (the rubber piece at the end) or the entire heel block?
