Do I NEED both of these?

I have these boots from Banana Republic:

They are black, snake embossed, knee-high with a medium heel and pointy toe, and tie-up thingy on the side.  I also just bought some boots that are very similiar to this from Banana Republic:

They are black, smooth (not croc embossed like the others), and plainer but the same exact shape (pointy toe, medium heel) as the other boot.

So do I need both boots (one fancier, one plainer) or should I ebay the second pair (the plainer ones)?  I have already worn the first pair so I would have to ebay the second pair because they haven't been worn.  The ones I just bought were a good deal ($39.99-bought from my beloved "Gap Clearance Center") but does that matter????

I would keep them both to alternate.  IMO you should always have a couple of pairs of black boots

I agree.  Keep both.  If you alternate them, you will save on wear and tear.

I don't think you need 2 pairs of black pointy boots. Maybe get some round toe ones like this:

Keep them. I think one will look better with certain outfits & vice versa. Plus, like the others said, you'll have them for a lot longer.
