I've been buying my tanks in this style from Old Navy. They're cheap and good enough (2 for $10, come on now) But I saw today that J Crew has the same cut but with a shelf bra, and I was wondering if any of you have these. It seems genius to me!
I don't have any from J. Crew, but most of my tanks/camis have shelf bras and I personally can't go with just a shelf bra. I don't know that I've ever worn a tank+shelf bra garment without a real one underneath (except at home and everything, of course.
IMO most shelf bras just don't really cut it

Shelf bras don't cut it ofr me either, but I usually just wear this style tank around the house, which is the only place I'll wear a shelf bra tank anyways with out something else underneath. I'm pretty busty, and the weight of my boons pulls the tank down making it too scandalous to wear out. I just wanted them for home to not have to wear a regualr bra and have straps hanging out. But at $20 each, maybe I should just stick to me ON tanks.
I live in these tanks around the house, but I don't care for the Old Navy ones--they never seem to provide enough support, and I am seriously lacking in the boob department. I really like Express for these. They are more expensive than ON, but I think less expensive than J.Crew...I usually stock up when they are on sale, I think, for 2 for $30 or something.
