ISO Christmas Party Dress
Permalink Closed

My company christmas party is coming up in one month and I need help finding a dress.  Its cocktail attire - some girls wear floor length but most cocktail length and guys in suits.

So far I have found these two.  I want to stay under $300 and possibly find something that I can recycle for weddings that I have to attend.

Laundry by Shelli Segal Strapless Velvet & Lace Dance Dress Laundry $290 but I don't see this working for weddings.

BCBG Max Azria Embroidered Tulle Party Dress BCBG $278 red with a brown overlay.  Could possibly be recycled for weddings.  but the brown throws me off shoe and accessory wise.

Anyone have any other suggestions (I'm a size 6) or have an opinion on these?  Thanks!

I like the red BCBG you posted and love the last black/bronze one ranchera posted! The first one looks fun, but I could see it looking pretty 80's IRL and I don't think it would work as well for weddings.

I was going to suggest this one as well - I think that's going to be my holiday party dress for this year.

This one is GORGEOUS:

Adrianna Papell Bead Border Party Dress

And it would be really nice with your coloring IMO!  Since it's under your budget you could even buy some shoes to go with it .....

I really like this one, too

Adrianna Papell Bead Border Party Dress

It's not your typical black or red Christmas party dress, but it's still really festive and would work perfectly for weddings.

i would check out the bcbg outlet because he has done that style (with the lace overlay) in a ton of gorgeous colors in the last couple of years so you may find one on sale.  i know that their sales start around thanksgiving (in the outlets too) so you could try some on and then do a charge send when it goes on sale if your size sells out.

also, i think this weekend bloomingdales is having 20% off dresses.

eta: i think i would do gold or champagne colored heels with the brown bcbg dress.  IMO every girl should have a pair in her closet!
