Daylight saving gripe

Typically I would love daylight saving, but yeah, I didn't remember this year and so went into work an hour early. RARH!! Now I have to sit and wait around for an hour until I am *supposed* to be here. I am just kicking myself right now.

I'm sorry!  That's so easy to do... a couple years ago I was supposed to pick my grandparents up at 8 and forgot it as daylight savings time, and I turned around about halfway there when I realized.  It sucked getting up an hour earlier than I needed to on a Sunday.

Ah, I have a funny daylight saving story.  About 3 years ago, my fiance (at the time) and I went to the movies on DS weekend.  We were headed to the 3 PM movie.  We always ran a few minutes late to the movie, so as usual we were running late to this one.  We got there, bought our tickets and went into the movie (Van Wilder).  It was already started, but we thought we had just missed 5 minutes or so.  As I am watching the movie, I'm thinking "they didn't set this story up very well... I feel like I'm missing something... etc., etc.".  We had entered the movie an hour and 5 minutes after it started, but didn't realize it until the movie ended!  It was very funny, but a bit alarming that neither of us realized the mistake until the end of the movie.  Anyway, we ended up looking at our tickets, they had sold us tickets for the 5 PM show, so we stuck around and watched the beginning...

Hee hee. That is great. I wish that there was some kind of warning system that tells us about daylight saving. I (amazingly) don't have tv of any sort so I don't get any warnings. I forgot about the spring forward this year too. Ugh. Maybe it's me...

the only reason I remembered was because I spent the weekend at my BF's house, and on a bulletin board by his bed he had a letter from his father's church (his dad's a minister) and at the bottom there was a reminder about daylight savings time. I saw it this morning when I woke up

I have to gripe too. I HATE that it gets dark early now. It's dark at 5:00 when I get off work, and that's not cool. I miss the days of summer when it would get dark at like 9:00. I felt like I still had some part of the day left after work. This getting dark early and getting cold BS really stinks!! (I hate winter)

I'm loving it, because the sun is out when I drive to work in the morning! I hate getting to work when it's pitch black out.
