This is so funny because the same thing just happened to DH and I. We both entered for a Porche or something and he got called and I didn't. There's somewhat of a catch because the airline tickets have blackout dates all over the place and their only free if you stay at one of the hotels they tell you to (which aren't cheap). We were also offered a gift certificate to some online store which sells stuff that ends up at a $1 store. Just my experience with this. Hope it helps!

I would say it sounds like a timeshare pitch.  The deal will probably be that you go and sit through their sales presentation and it will be high pressure-ish, cheesy, and annoying.  Then they will give you your vouchers to Orlando and/or Vegas but there will be all kinds of loopholes and fine print and the hotel will be at some kind of crappy Ramada Inn or Days Inn.

I sat through a timeshare pitch in Hawaii  in order to get a $150 gift certificate and I loved it! I had to DRAG my husband but I knew there was no way in hell I would buy a timeshare so I figured why not.  I just kept telling them no and it was very fun (fun saying no, fun getting the gift certificate).

So I would guess that it is not really a "scam" but also probably not worth your time.

The same thing happened to my Dad awhile back and he went to the meeting - I guess while there he figured out it was a scam.

One of my BFFs has gone to one before at Disney World and she got her hotel and park tickets paid for. She had to sit through the pitch for a couple of hours but for all that, who cares?

So yeah, nothing's for free but if you have the time, I guess the worst that could happen is that you lose an hour or two, right? Just don't bring your checkbook or a credit card, whatever you do.

Total timeshare style pitch, but if you have an hour and dont intend to buy anything than it might be worth checking out.

Bf and I sat thru one of these timeshare things and were awarded that same 3days 2nites trip to Vegas. Sounded good except you had to leave on a Tuesday... they didn't guarantee that the two of you would leave together and you had to send in a $100 deposit. If I remember correctly, you had to send in the refundable $100 before they let you select dates to go on the trip... which is when we found out abt the blackout dates... and yes.. the hotels aren't the ones on/close to the strip.

Sundance has been sending me stuff for years.  A few years ago my roommate actually followed up, and it ended up being too good to be true.  As in, you could potentially get the vacation they offer, but there were way too many stipulations.  I get stuff from them all the time and it goes straight into the rec. bin.
