I'm looking at Vintage dresses on Ebay but I have no idea how the sizing runs. I'm looking at 50s era clothing, if that helps any...

They run about 1-2 sizes smaller. I would ask for all measurements before buying an ebay dress, though.

i am usually a vintage 14 and wear an 8/10 depending on the brand. pre-preg i was more of a vintage 12 and wore a 6/8. hth!

Yeah... I've also found vintage to run 2 sizes smaller. Like a vintage 12 is a modern 8.

Def go by measurements-I find that a lot of the 50's dresses are very fitted in the waist and bust area.

Good point. They do tend to have really small waists.
