Without too much thought, I picked up this bag at the online hayden harnett sample sale. Although I love the shape of the bag, I'm starting to question the color (chalk). Is this color versatile and will it get dirty easily. I'm tempted to call and try and cancel my order before it ships....
I carry that color in my store , so here is my expierence with it. The color is beautiful , and wonderful for spring/summer. It does however get VERY dirty because of the fact that the bottom doesnt have "feet" so when you set it down anywhere (resturant, car floor etc) it picks up the dirt from the ground. Also the strap handles get really dirty as well. I actually treat all mine in the store with a leather protecter before I sell them , and this actually slows down the process , however white bags in general get trashed really easy.
Give them call. I went to the B&M sale after work yesterday and had nice chats with the two fellows who were working at the showroom; you might be able convince them to cancel your order.
I have a Coach purse in that color and it got dirty quickly. I took it to a leather place and had it cleaned. It's a lot cleaner, but still not good as new. I think white bags are hot (and I wear them year round), but they are kind of annoying to maintain and keep clean.
I'd only cancel if your bound to get it dirty. I have a white Coach bag that I have used for two years during Spring/Summer and it's not dirty at all. The back side does have a slight blue jean rubbing but you have to look really close to notice it to where I haven't even thought of cleaning it yet.
I love Hayden bags! If you take care of it, I think you would be fine. Jeans is the tough problem - staining blue, if you let it rub. Just keep it offf the floor and keep it conditioned!
