Something is seriously bothering me about mine - on the two front pockets, the leather looks different - one side is smooth and the other side's leather is all wrinkly.


(If this doesn't make sense, I can take a pic later... lmk)


Is anyone else's like this? And is there any way to smooth out leather?

you mean the leather on the two pockets don't match each other?  i haven't noticed it, but i'll definitely check mine more thoroughly when i get home.

if i remember correctly, both my pockets were kinda wrinkly since the leather was ruched near the zippers... is the leather markedly different?  i'd try contacting botkier directly to see if they can/will do something.

Yes!  Mine is the same way and I noticed that right away.  I haven't used it yet because of it.  Actually, I was a bit disillusioned with the bag & have been contemplating sending it back and getting something I love more.

Are you thinking of returning it?  I threw out my receipt too but I think that active endeavors - is that where you got yours? - will return it if you print out your online web order/receipt.

i think the leather on the pockets of my botkier is pretty uniform.   the leather directly above the zippers of the pockets are a little wrinkly though.  how does the leather on yours compare?

I hate to say this but I think it's REALLY noticeable. I'd be pissed off at Botkier for letting that one get out of the factory.

try contacting botkier directly (and forward the photos?).  if they have half-decent CS, they should replace that bag.

the last bag i bought from active endeavors was defective and i had to make a big stink over it - so i really wanted some back up before i started throwing a fit again- they are going to hate me!! but i'm glad you guys agree. thx for the feedback!

If you don't have immediate success with Active Endeavors, I'd contact Botkier CS directly.  Between the two I don't think you'd have a problem getting your bag replaced.

Ditto.  Sad, cuz it's a pretty bag, but it looks like the leather they used wasn't cut out of the same piece.  I would expect much better quality than that.

That's just not right. I won't tell you what my immediate response was when I saw the photo, but I suggest you send both Active Endeavours and Botkier with the photos and ask for a replacement.
