Okay- I know a bunch of you use Photo Shop pretty often so...
For one of my classes we are putting together a one, five, and ten year plan for a fictional hospital and most of the report we have to put together will be a Power Point presentation for the faculty. I figured that having a well-designed logo for our hospital would add that something extra so that's what I did. I came up with:
Don't mind the garish colors or anything...my problem is that I can't figure out how to get the logo to be just the circle. When I go to copy/paste or insert image I get the goofy square white background around the pretty blue circle- not the look I was going for!
So, my question is...how do I take out the white background on Photo Shop, and just have the simple circle logo? TIA!
PS: Would having a paw print on the logo (for Bobcat?) be totally cheesy? In a good or bad way? It's supposed to be a hospital in Bobcat, Texas.

When you start a new image, you can choose whether you want your background to be white, transparent, or background color. Choose transparent. That's how to have a transparent background, for future reference.
Since you already have the logo made, make sure that under "Image>Mode" the color is set to RGB, then create a new layer and put it under your background. You didn't mention how many layers you have. If the white background is its own layer, you can just delete that layer. If the whole logo is one, though, use the magic wand select tool to select all of the white area, and delete.
HTH!

Also be sure that when you save it you choose a file format that supports transparency and check the box that says "preserve transparency" (or something like that).
