i was all set to buy it in tobacco and testimo canceled my order ($300 there, and 20% code).  Has anyone seen the mini one in tobacco, somewhere with a 20% (or higher) code?  Or can someone vouch for another color (I don't want the plum (i have boots in that exact crackly plum color), and i don't want a metallic or light color).  I think testimo has moss, brass, rust, and plum now, but what i really wanted was the tobacco.  THANKS!!!

it's also at Luna Boston, but for $15 more than squishy's suggestion. There's a 20% off code: grechen

Active Endeavors has it in butterscotch, but not tobacco.  If you're interested, it's 20% off with the code "stylediary".

For what it's worth, I just got mine today and I think it's going back.  It's pretty and all, but I don't think I'm in love with the quality of it, and to me, I just don't think it's worth $280.  I'm not 100% sure I'm going to return it, so I'm going to sleep on it and see how I feel tomorrow.  But if you haven't seen it in real life, you might want to check it out.  I'm just a bit disappointed in the quality.

is it worse quality then the regular size?  i've seen that in person (my roommate has had hers for months and its held up) and like it.  Anyone else thinking of returning theirs?

It's probably the same quality as the large.  I think what bugs me the most about it is that the raw edges of the leather are kind of uneven.  The strap doesn't seem substantial enough and it keeps falling off my shoulder, which is a problem since I like to carry my bags on my shoulder.  But the hardware seems nice and the stitching is pretty even (about 7 stitches/inch).  The leather is pretty supple and the color is rich.

If you're familiar with your roommate's bag and you like it, then go for it.  I don't think the quality issues that I have with it are enough to warrant not getting the bag if you really love it, if that makes sense.  I like it alright, but I think maybe I just don't love it.

The leather definitely has an old, worn-in look. There aren't really any raw edges on the outside of the bag, except the long strap and around the pockets on the body.

Personally I have no problem with the strap falling off my shoulder. I've done a major 6 hour shopping trip in SF, plus 2 days of outlet shopping, with the bag and I found it very versatile and comfy.

(Not trying to dissuade you from returning, NC. Just giving my experience)

Really?  Now that's weird.  All of the edges of the bag I got had raw, unfinished edges and it was cut really unevenly.

Anyway, it's a cute bag, but I just wasn't as in love with it as I wanted to be, so I returned it.  Slightly off topic, but I'm really pleased with the service at Active Endeavors.  Everything was easy and shipping was free both ways.  Wooohooo!
