I voted the NW ones. I like the DVs better, but it sounds like you're concerned about versatility, in which case I think the NWs would work better when you're dressing up

I voted for the Dolce Vita's. I have them in black and IMO they can be dressed up or down. I can wear them w/a dress or skirt, but also over jeans for a more casual look. Get them - you won't be sorry!

I agree. I personally think that the sleeker, non-slouchy boot will look better for a dressier outfit. However, I have no experience with the DVs.

(hey to all who i haven't "seen" in a while)

is that the "botamy" 9west style? you might want to take calf circumference into account which i think is more important in a boot's versatility. zappos is good about listing that, for the DVs i'm sure girls on here can tell you how they run.
