Now that I am working in a casual-dress design office , I've been thinking I want a couple new pairs of jeans that are comfortable but pretty dressy-looking. All my jeans are very casual (faded washes, etc), and though I'm sure it would be totally fine to wear them, I'd prefer to wear something a bit more polished to work. These are some of the ones I've thought of... anyone have any preferences or suggestions? I'm looking for a dark, uniform wash, and no real logo... I'm over the giant-logo-on-the-ass thing. And by the way, I found it amusing that when I went to activeendeavors.com, there were 20 boot-cut jeans and 101 skinny ones. I knew the skinnies were popular, but didn't think they'd overtaken boot-cut so drastically...
James Hector:
Joe's cigarette: I tried these on and thought they looked really crisp.
i like the wash and cut of the Joe's cigarette. however, i'd highly recommend these anlo jeans -- i tried them on at bergdorf at the rec of a sales girl and they're my new favorite jeans. they look awesome w/flats and heels, and are the perfect lenght:
As far as fit for me no matter how many different brands I buy I always love my PDC mod fit best and they're long enough to wear with heels.
For work if you like the look on you I think the cigarette jeans look nice, as long as they're not too trendy for your office. I also own a pair of the Honey style and I like them for work because they're a little looser in the thighs so I don't feel like I'm wearing my "club jeans".
the joe's skinny trouser? it looks bad on the model, but a lot better on. i'm thinking of getting a pair myself as my jeans are wearing to shreds before my eyes.
I have the Joe's Cigarette and the Honey and love both. My Honeys actually just died (completely wore out to the point of tearing), but they are very-booty friendly. I think the Cigarette may be more work-appropriate -- they're straighter leg and have a more polished feel.
