In my t-zone, to be exact. I use a scrub a few days a week, I put moisturizer on at night and in the morning and it still gets flakey and dry every morning when I put on my makeup (or if I accidently scratch my nose or something).
What to do? I had a facial a week ago and that helped for a couple of days but then it came back.
Should I use a different moisturizer? A different scrub? Some incredient in particular I should look for?
With winter right around the corner, I know it's only going to get worse.
Have you done the aspirin mask before? That clears up my flakiness in a jif, and the effect usually lasts for 3 or 4 days before I need to do it again.

Basically, you break a couple tabs of uncoated aspirin (actual aspirin - they're like $2 for 100) and mix with just enough hot water to dissolve so you have a paste. I usually use 4 aspirin, enough water to dissolve, and a pump of Cetaphil for each tablet I used. Apply to your face (being very careful to avoid eyes/nostrils/lips) and leave on for 5 minutes or so. Then you wet your fingertips and massage to exfoliate.
Aspirin is very chemically similar to the SA used in facial products, so you get both chemical and physical exfoliation from it.

I used to have a problem with a flakey nose until I started using moisturizer, but since you already use moisturizer, I don't know. I only use Olay facial moisturizer since I discovered that brand gave me the best results on all their products. Maybe you do too much to your skin which is actually making the problem worse. If nothing works maybe you should consult a dermatologist if it is bothering you a lot.
I get flakes if I use a cleanser that is too strong. Try switching to a gentle cleanser. I love The Body Shop Vitamin E cream cleaser. It makes my skin so soft without being harsh at all.

I use Cetaphil for sensitive skin, so I think I'm good on that. I think I must need a different scrub than what I'm using... maybe something less grainy and more acid-y, if that makes any sense. Plus I probably need a new moisturizer. Mines getting old.
But I REFUSE to buy moisturizer at Sephora. My god it's so expensive to buy moisturizer there! Everything else (for face) is reasonable enough but the moisturizer is crazy expensive. It's weird.
