Your favorite inspiration/project sites?
Permalink Closed

All our house stuff went through (finally!), so I've been brainstorming about all the things we're going to want/need to do to this house.  I think I've already run through hgtv.com, diynetwork.com, bhg.com in their entireties.

So, I'm looking for sites that have lots of pictures to browse for inspiration, or lots of projects/ideas, or lots of before and after pics, or curb appeal ideas, etc.

Anyone have a favorite or two?

I've found www.dominomag.com to be a great resource.  Their list of favorite website has some really great links.  It's not so much for getting ideas, although it does have some how-to's and some videos, but I've found the site to be a good resource for where to buy things.

HTH!

Also, what is your decorating style?  That might help me have a good idea of what you're looking for in case I come across anything else.

Thank you!  My style is kind of a Pottery Barn/Pier One hybrid - classic, clean, and organic but with a few ethnic/textural touches here and there.

Yeah, my decorating style is pretty similar too.  I love a lot of Pottery Barn stuff, but I think I tend to be a bit more eclectic in my tastes.  Anyway, I'll keep my eye peeled for stuff for you.

When do we get to see pics of the house???

The pics of the exterior of the house from when it was listed are icky, so it'll have to wait until we have posession (in just 2 weeks!).  And, we plan on doing alot of work to it, so they'll definitely be of the 'Before' kind of variety .

I love the British LivingEtc. - especially the magazine itself. The homes featured in it are so original and beautiful. Great for inspiration!

apartmenttherapy.com is just fabulous. Kind of like the interior design version of ST, except people sometimes get bitchy. but I always find good new sources on there.

Definitely check out design*sponge as well. She's got a great eye, and a clean, modern style. I find myself drooling over her selections on a daily basis, and she really works to keep them affordable.

Plus she just opened a new store- super cute!
