Hallowe'en decorations
Permalink Closed

So in our neighborhood in the suburbs, it appears that everyone gets super into holidays and all the houses around us are decorated for Hallowe'en. I love Hallowe'en and want to get into it too.

Our neighbors are really going all out- tombstones on the lawn, skeletons and mummies on porches, pumpkins, skulls, the whole bit. I'd like to do something without spending a fortune...any ideas for cheap but still cool Hallowe'en decor?

you could go to michael's and get some blocks of that styrofoam-ish stuff that the tombstones out of for really cheap, a couple of can's of grey spraypaint, and some spider webs and have a nice little set up.  with 2 bags of spiderwebs you could probably cover your entire house and they are so cheap.

We threw a Halloween party a couple of years ago and put up police tape all along the front balcony and staircases leading to our apartment. (Fake stuff but it was super cheap - I think it was even in the Halloween aisles at a party store.) It was fun and everyone thought it was cool.

Orange or white string lights, you can change out porch lights to orange too.  Maybe you can hang ghosts off of trees.  I'd make them by using white baloons or some type of ball and cut white fabric and drape over it and draw the faces on it!
