What do we think of this? Is it too much like wearing a Kabballah bracelet? I really like it, but A) I worry that I won't in a year or two, and B) Nicole has TINY wrists. I don't know if it would fit mine. It's $39, but I can get it for 31.20 (plus s&h) with a coupon code. Thanks girls!

What fiber is it made out of? And what type of metal is the charm? My first impression was you could make it yourself for way less money.

I don't know what the fiber is. I think it's red string, and I think the metal is gold plated? I.e. I could probably make it much cheaper.

if I just saw someone wearing it, with or without the charm, I would think it was a kabbalah bracelet

I just want to know what the bracelet means. I read somewhere (and this might just be speculation) that the bracelet is linked to anorexia or something. Like it's a sign to others that she is anorexic. Sounds silly, I know, but that is what I read in a tabloid.

Whatever the bracelet means, do you stand behind its meaning? I think that is what is key. If you do, then by all means, get it. If you believe in that, it doesn't have to be "in."

If you are getting it because it's a celeb-inspired trend, pass. You'll end up regretting the purchase.

Just my opinion ...

I read that somewhere too, about it standing for anorexia, but the hand on the bracelet is a Hamsa hand, which is an ancient amulet for protection against the evil eye, which sounds kind of neat.

I can't order it though, I emailed the people at Label360, and it runs 6-6.5 inches. I think that's too small for my wrist! I measured one of my bracelets which fits tighter, and it was 6.5 inches. Knowing my luck, I'd get one that was 6".

Thanks for the input!

Anorexics wear red beaded bracelets to symbolize solidarity from the rest of the community.

Kabbalah meaning is Protection against the evil eye (red string bracelet).

Hindus also wear them (string) to signify protection and purity.

If you wear it, people will probably think it stands for one of those things...
