need help finding a dress

This is kind of a tall order, I guess. I'm dressing up as a fairy this Halloween and I need a dress that's appropriate, yet super-super-super hot. Max Studio had these tutu/ballerina type dresses a while back and I wanted one, didn't buy it, and now I can't find one anywhere. :( This fact truly sucks.
Anyhow, below are a couple of dresses that I like, but are out of my price range.

I'd like the dress to be on the shorter side, girly, and definitely sleeveless. I'd like to keep the cost under $50, as well- actually, the less $, the better. It would also be great if it didn't look cheap.

Thanks!!

Have you thought about making it yourself? You could go buy a black tutu then wear a satin black corset on top? F21 usually has corset tops this time of year for around $24.

Hth!

Necessary Objects has a bunch of ballerina-ish dresses
only available in medium at Macys - $22
or this version from Nordstrom which comes in pink, ivory and blue - $58

Or if you want to do separates -using a skirt and top would probably be easier and cheaper. Maybe you even have a top that would already work.
Target $25, comes in black too

I thought about making it myself, but I don't have a sewing machine and really want a dress & not seperates. I thank you for the suggestion, though. I was thinking about going to F21 to look for a dress, but I find that place SO overwhelming!

cc, those dresses are cute. Thank you. I'm going to check into more of their dresses.

Did you try eBay?  I have seen a lot of good costumes there.
