Anna Corinna City Tote or Hand Maid Chain Bag?

Which do you girls prefer, the anna corinna city tote or the hand maid chain bag (both in black)? I've liked the city tote for a long time and I think $280ish is a good price for it (from testimoboutique w/ a code) but it won't ship until 11/30 and the hand maid chain bag is still cheaper in the end. Any thoughts or comments about the leather or either? Any other black leather bag suggestions? TIA!

Anna Corinna. I haven't felt it, but the leather looks soft. I hate the way Hand Maid bags feel.

ok, i'm going to be the lone dissenter - i'd go w/the handmaid (actually, i ordered it a couple days ago).  to me, the price is great and the bag is glamorous - the anna corinna is very casual and looks like a travel bag to me (but i've only seen the big one IRL).

This is a dumb question, but when you wear it on your shoulder, do you have to lift up that flap and dig through the entire thing to find your stuff? The flap looks so big, which makes the purse look deep. I think I would have a hard time finding stuff in it.

there are 2 zipped pockets on the outside for easy access to smaller items. i'll prob carry my bigger stuff like a jacket, water bottle, planner, etc. in the main compartment.
