Im in the market for a new strong/mega hold hairspray. I've been using this for a few weeks now but I am not all that impressed with it.  Any other brands you would highly suggest?

"aqua net" is the strongest hold hair spray i have ever used.  also "freeze it" is also pretty strong hold.  but if you want a good strong hold that works with a down do, i suggest "big sexy hair spray and play". holds well, adds volume, and doesn't turn your hair into a helmet.

Aqua Net - Extra Super Hold Hairspray, Unscented - 14 ozSexy Hair Concepts - Big Sexy Hair Spray And Play Volumizing Hairspray - 10.6 fl oz

Mega Freeze Hair Spray 24 Hour Hold by Freeze it

Mega Freeze Hair Spray for All Hair Types - Mega Super Hold by Freeze it

i very rarely use strong hairspray, but my mom is a big hair spray gal. so i would get her various hairsprays at the beauty supply (since i get a generous discount) for her to try out. the one we found works best for her is framesi by strong hold hairspray. here is a link to it. hair sprayed with this could last through a hurricane.

for a working hair spray (while you are styling, but not super strong), i like sebastian shaper.

Sebastian Shaper Hairspray is the best I've ever tried.  It holds w/out leaving your hair crunchy.  I know you can buy it @ Ulta and Trade Secret.

i love V05 brush and spray...

boo. just checked their site for a picture and it looks like they stop making it! :(

loreal elnett is supposed to be great, but i think due to restrictions on aerosol items that damange the ozone it's not allowed in the states.

quattio (?) on Sebastian Shaper.

I really do like Suave fressia Flexible hold for regular use, it holds and works well, and smells nice.

I bought some Elnett in the UK when I was there, I was wondering why I've never seen it in the states!

I'm not much help, but apparenlty Bumble and bumble makes good hairspray.

i was totally anti-hairspray until i got bangs and discovered Bumble and Bumble Holding Spray.  It's non-aerosol, which IMO is way better.  You can do one sweeping pump and get enough hold, and it holds w/o being sticky or stiff at all.  My stylist claims that it makes your hair wet, and we have an ongoing argument about this, b/c it DOES NOT.  (How would he know -- he shaves his head?)

Anyway, B&B holding spray. it.

Fresh Poppy Hairspray is really good. I also want to try Bumble and Bumble Shine hairspray though
