I saw this in the October issue of Harper's Bazaar today, and I'm in LOVE! This definitely complicates my whole fall purse decision... :) I'm hoping the leather's nice, usually I don't like the Coach leather very much. I like it beacause it's sort of a classic bag. Right?
I really like it! What is it that you don't like about Coach leather? I know it is not the softest but I like how it is smooth and sturdy (well, at least it seems sturdy to me).
Thanks! Brown is the color I was thinking of getting. jacL, usually I don't like the leather because it doesn't seem very soft, and onetime I heard and SA at Nordstrom's telling a woman that the quality of Coach bags isn't very good, though I have a suede Coach bag and the quality was nice, I thought (though I can't use it any more because it was tan suede and it's SO dirty). However, it says that this bag is made of vintage leather. I'm going to the Coach store today to look at it.
Does it look like a classic style? I don't like to pay a lot for a bag that's too trendy. I had wanted/ do want to get the Kooba Sienna, though this seems more classic, and since it's new, not everyone has it yet.

OOohh, I really like that one, especially in the brown! But I do have a thing for flap bags!
The SA at Nordstroms doesn't know what she is talking about (maybe she was trying to sell more expensive purses) but I have enough Coach bags to know the quality is top notch. Every stitch is perfect with no thread coming out. Their style is mostly structured sturdy bags so of course the leather isn't going to be super soft to be a slouchy bag.
Courtney, that's probably what it was. I believe she was trying to see the woman a Cole Haan bag.
Thanks Zeitgeist! That's probably the same bag, she maybe got the price wrong? It says it has an adjustable strap, I'd probably wear it on my shoulder since I don't like crossbody purses.

I'd buy it for the inside alone...i'm sucker for cute bag lining...lol
and I echo what Courtney says. I have two Coach bags, and my mom and sister have a few as well. The leather is super soft and supple and they've all held up reallly well. I've used my Coach Tote as a book bag for over a year now and it still looks great...a little scratched up, but that just makes it look better to me.
get it get it get it get it get it get it!!!

I didn't think I'd get such an overwhelming Yes! I went to look at the bag today, and I'm thinking about it. I loved everything about it except the leather. It was not very soft, although the sa said it would get softer and slouchier... I'm going to sleep on it for a while.
