Engagement present
Permalink Closed

My best friend in the whole world got engaged recently. We've been friends since we were 5 years old so I"d like to get her something special as a congratulations. Any suggestions? I didn't get any engagement presents so I honestly have no clue what to get. Also need to be able to pick it up since I'll need it by Friday when we meet for dinner. Thanks!

some ideas...

bottle of wine/champagne
book about wedding planning
book about housekeeping stuff (Martha Stewart, Real Simple books)
something to use at the wedding (toasting flutes, cake serving set, etc.)
picture frame
something nice from Tiffany's...frame, crystal, objet d'art/decor item...etc.

or something just for her...like a bracelet or a spa GC

or along the lines of a wedding planning book, but cuter, something like a scrapbook for her to record the planning process and thoughts about being engaged, etc.  this is a super cute one...i think they sell it at Crate & Barrel too - http://www.amazon.com/Our-Wedding-Scrapbook-Darcy-Miller/dp/006073521X/sr=8-1/qid=1159997620/ref=pd_bbs_1/103-4500236-5199019?ie=UTF8&s=books

Together I bought my BFF and her DH a super nice bottle of wine, not to be opened until some anniversaries down the road. (They could do the first anniversary if they wanted but it's definitely a save bottle.)

Seperately I got her a book on anti-bride type things (she's very non-traditional).

David Yurman Heart Pendant Necklace

i would not do a traditional bridal gift (maybe a book with your gift).  congrats to your friend!
