ok, so, my gram's has been working from home for the past 7 weeks while she is getting radiation treatments, and her work has been having things overnighted to her since she works 2 hours away from where she lives, she can't really just pop in and pick stuff up.  so anyhoo, they sent a couple of different envelopes with important documents.  her boss paid for next day delivery but the documents were marked 2 day delivery.  they did not knock on the door or ring the doorbell so she did not know that the envelopes had arrived.  also, when they got there, they were soaking wet.  there are no sprinklers in her front yard, so how they got wet, is beyond me but they were soaking wet.  also, there were 3 envelopes that were supposed to come.  they brought my gram's 2 of her envelopes and one that belonged to someone else.  i have to say, they suck.

last week my parents sent me a package. I got a call from DHL saying that the driver couldn't find my building, could I tell them where it is? So I went on this long thing about how it's between these streets, on this corner, across from this park...then the guy says, "well, he found the building but couldn't find your apartment." I said all about how there's a buzzer and if he just presses it I'll be able to answer and come to the vestibule to get the package, blah blah blah. There was an uncomfortable silence and then the guy who called said "will you just come pick it up?"

So I did, which I know I shouldn't have but I was kind of put on the spot. Why make me go through all the trouble to explain where my apartment is if you really aren't going to send the driver back anyway?

I haven't had a good experience with them either.  My company quit using them about a year ago.  The worst was the letter with my offer that they left on my carport which could have easily blown away.
