High waisted belts, Outfit Help?

I have two belts similiar to the pic below, but a bit different.  One is navy and one is red.  I am having the hardest time figuring out what to wear them with.  Im looking for casual outfits that i can wear to school or out to dinner.  Id actually really like to wear the navy one tonight out to dinner with a bunch of my boyfriends friends.  We are going to a sushi restaurant.   And again looking for a casual outfit with jeans.  I have a bunch of plain long sleeve tees.. would this work, or no?  Guess i just dont know what shirts to wear with it, espeically since the color is navy (or red)

Is that a high waisted belt? I kind of thought those types sat lower on the waist/hip. I coul be wrong.

I have several belts like that and they can really dress up an outfit when worn high on your waist. These are a couple of outifts that I have tried.


Short blue/white seersucker shorts (or gray pencil skirt now that it is cooler) with a white button down and a navy blue belt at the waist with silver strappy sandals.


Black pencil skirt, black satin buttondown with cheetah print high waisted belt and matching cheetah print shoes


black shorts, black short sleeved sweater, red high wasited belt and red pumps


Gray skinny jeans, white blouse, black buttoned up vest, red high waisted belt over the vest and blouse with red stilettos. I got a ton of compliments on that one.

I wear my high waisted belts over my cardi/fuller skirt combo. I always get tons of compliments and it really accentuates my waist.
