Chicago girls! I just realized this Saturday is Oct 7 and we planned to get together again. Is everyone still on?
I believe someone suggested going bowling at Lucky Strike? Let me know if that's what we still want to do, or if you'd rather do something else. I'll call and make the reservations. Just confirm your attendance!
Unfortunately I can't make it. We're going to celebrate our anniversary that night. Sad. I will be going to the Beta sample sale in the morning if anyone wants to go to that with me though!

Yikes, I totally forgot! I am pretty sure that I can make it though. If people want to do something a little more low key though we could always just do tapas again. I'm sure we could get a rez at Ba-Ba-Reeba if we made it today or tomorrow at the latest.

I'm not going to be able to make it either. A friend asked me to go to a concert and when we initially talked about it, she told me it was on the 6th. Turns out it's on the 7th and she already got our tickets. I'm bummed cause I had so much fun last time and was looking forward to seeing everyone again :(
While this weekend would work for me, due to financial constraints, it would be better for me to reschedule. I would also like to set a date where everybody can come because I had a really great time with everyone last time.
What about everyone else??
I know for sure the weekend of Oct. 14 does not work for me.
I'll be out of commision a good part of November since I'm having some elective surgery Oct 31st
Perhaps we try to schedule ahead for a Holiday get together and even do a secret Santa amongst the Chicago girls?
I love Collette's idea! Would the rest of you girls be up for a Holiday thing (maybe dinner and drinks) and maybe even a Secret Santa amongst us? That sounds so fun!

I like this idea, too.
If we end up going with something different, October is totally out for me but I'm free throughout Nov and Dec.
I also LOVE the idea of a holiday/Secret Santa party!! And I also think it would be a good idea to do either of the first two weekends in December. I am free for now.
the holiday party sounds great! i just got back in town, and between work, out of town visitors, and our 5 year dating anniversary weekend (i'm a dork, but i figured this was a big enough event that i'd celebrate it), my time is a bit strapped (but i still had saturday on my calendar).
let me know what works out the best.

Dec 2 works for me. I'm for the Secret Santa thing, but it's going to be hard to assign names since we all can't get together to draw or anything. Instead of buying a gift specifically for one person we could all just bring a gift, assign numbers, and then draw. What's everyone thinking about price limit?
I wouldn't mind organizing the secret santa thing. Everyone who is coming can just send their name to me with 3 suggestions of what they would like and I'll do it this way...
Write everyone's name on a list in any order, toss all their names in a hat whatever and then draw. I'll assign in order that I wrote them down. Make sense? Price limit definately like $20 or $25 max so noone feels like it's a strain? We could do less if everyone wants that. Thoughts?
Has anyone ever been to Hot Chocolate in Bucktown? OMG amazing deserts.

Mindy Segal, the much-lauded pastry chef from mk, has ventured out on her own in Bucktown. Don't anticipate the same desserts she served at mk; she has created an entirely new menu for this casual urban cafe. Seasonally influenced options include small plates, sandwiches, salads, and -- guess what? -- desserts. She's serving an updated continental breakfast on the weekends with house-made jams, infused butters and plenty of freshly baked sweet and savory goodies.
