I need some plain sweaters and cardigans. I have only a few and I realize this is a major hole in my closet/wardrobe. I don't have a lot of money right now because I have two trips coming up - any recommendations? seen anything cute/affordable?

zara had a bunch of plain v neck sweaters for $19 around labor day.  if you have one you could check there.

i always have good luck finding cardigans in all sorts of colors at h&m - that's where i've gotten most of the cardigans in my closet.


i also have some of the fine gauge stretch cardigans from lands end - they are $39.50 and the xs fits me really well. they are great quality for the price and they have tons of colors.

I'll second this. They have a ton of basic cardigans and sweaters right now in some great fall colors.

Old Navy has a some. Each style comes in various colors.




I realize this isn't a cardi, but they have cardies in store that match this (long sleeve, crewneck).


Target also has these thin scoopnecks in some good colors.
