So this weekend is when I'm going to Vegas to shop for a red carpet dress with my BFF. We are going to the upscale shops at Bellagio & Caesars - I've been before but not to seriously shop & I don't want to feel like the dumpy poor friend - even if I am! Things to keep in mind: * It's Vegas- we are staying fairly close, but we will still be doing a lot of walking so I want to be somewhat practical with shoes * It's going to be freaking hot * I picked out no jewelry for these at all. I have tons so if you have a suggestion, make it, I may have something similar.
This one is my favorite because I feel the most comfortable in it but I feel like it needs something. This is what I wanted the red patent shoes for. I'd like to make this work but what can I do to add color? I don't have a red handbag - I do have metallic ballet flats (silver & gold) & bronze shoes, but it still feels boring. These shoes are primarily comfy
This is my favorite in theory but I think I'll fiddle with that sash all day long. And I'm not sure how cute it will be when I sit down - which I imagine I'll be doing while she tries on crap. I am just afraid that my stomach rolls will appear & be worse with the sash And if I was very honest I have to admit these shoes aren't the most comfortable I've ever had on.
I tried this with no belt because of the above statements but I don't think it's working, right? Plus I feel like a Halloween party with the orange/black.
I could also do outfit #3 with the ivory top pictured here:
Suggestions? Thoughts? scrap these ideas & start over?

I really like the first outfit and it does look very comfy, too. But I think this one is my favorite. It looks so stylish and flattering, especially with the sash belt. Just swap the shoes for something more comfortable, maybe the red patent flats if you can find ones you like.
You look so tiny and sophsicated(sp?) in it!!! Very flattering! The others ones are hiding your great curves. We wanna see that little waist! You really look great!
If you could wear a red or other colored belt over top #1 then it would look better. Butif you dont have one then I agree on outfit #2. I'm just scared that your shoes may start bothering you. Do you probably have other shoes to wear with this?
i agree with most of the others - i like the second outfit. and can i just say, you look great! i haven't seen a pic of you in a while, and you really look fantastic.

I would love to see 1 with a red belt. I think that 3 with the ivory top would be super cute. Are those shoes comfy? I also really like 2. So basically I am no help, but I think that whatever you choose would be a great choice.
Just thinking, if you plan on sitting alot then would the shoes on 2 be that big of a problem?
Thanks ladies for your comments & opinions. The red belt on #1 is a great idea but I don't have a red belt & I have exactly zero time to search for one before Friday, so that is out. Good idea for future use, though!
I also have some bronze wedges that I'm going to wear around my house in the next few days to see how comfortable they are - they are adorable & I'm thinking will be easier to walk in. And calichic, even if I'm planning to sit once we get to wear we are going, there is SO much walking in between - most hotels are a mile or so side to side inside, plus in between - but now I know that my friend is wearing what I consider ridiculous shoes for such walking so I see some cabs in our future.
Sunshinegirl, don't you usually wear a sash belt like that? Any words of wisdom on getting it to behave? In that picture I have it tied in the back & then I tucked the ends around the sides - I have maybe 4 or so inches of material on each side. Or do you leave it hanging down in the back?
Thanks, asf, I'm still chipping away at the weight.....
