I just signed up for an American Express card and was curious how many credit cards everyone has. Which credit card is your favorite? Which credit cards should be stayed away from (bc of poor customer service, etc?)

I've stopped using them though, except for the store cards (for the benefits), but still paying on all of them unfortunately. I have: *Bank Of America Visa- They surprisingly gave me a high limit being that it was my first credit card. I'm having troubles trying to access my account online though. Oh, and I had to report my card missing/stolen today. I think I left it in a wallet that I just donated to Goodwill yesterday. *Capital One Visa *Chase Visa- If you miss just one payment they will call you everyday and harrass you until you pay! Plus the people who call you usually have a heavy accent which is so hard for me to understand. Good thing I've got my payments in order now! *Macy's- The extra 10-20% off when I use my card saves me a lot of money! *Old Navy- They were so great to take off some charges that my ex put on my account after I asked them to make it so he couldn't use his card that was from my account. Anyhow, I also like the card because I can use it at Gap and Banana Republic too. Oooh, and I love it when I get Old Navy bucks in the mail for spending such an amount using my card.
My very first credit card was Capital One and I thought they had very poor customer service. I received multiple bills in the mail late and they were never very helpful when I called.
I have two visa's and a mastercard. One of the visas is just an account that's set up to my checking account so that if I overdraw my checking account it goes on to the card. I don't physically have the card though...

omg, how could I forget my capital one nightmare? I won't bore anyone with the details, but suffice it to say, they were an absolute ordeal to deal with.
I have a Visa card and the MasterCard that goes with my CitiBank checking account. I've basically decided getting another card would just give me the opportunity to get into trouble. Customer service on both cards has been great -- once three charges were put on my MasterCard that weren't from me, and CitiBank did the refund very quickly.
I have a personal Amex rewards card (linked to my corporate rewards Amex) Discover card - have cut back on it since I like the rewards on Amex better and its linked to my work card. But its my first CC so I won't cancel it. BR card - its ok. use it rarely
the only one i actually use is my amex. i use it for EVERYTHING and encourage my husband to do so as well. i like their rewards program, and i was able to get my kitchenaid mixer for free thanks to the rewards!
ALMOST done paying off the OTHER credit card debt I got myself into...... I think I like Cap. 1 the best, they upped my credit limit last year, and didn't notify me until AFTER I had checked my statement on-line, thanking me for my excellent payment history, etc. etc. I guess.

I came, I saw, I did a little shopping.
Macy's- It was my first ever credit card. The rewards and special sales for cardholders are fabulous.
Bank of America Visa- Don't use this card anymore though. No benefits whatsoever. It's my just in case emergency card.
Discover card- Good customer service, low APR. It's my gotta have it now card.
Victoria's Secret- I love how they send me free $10 gift cards on my birthday and plenty of free panty coupons, and sometimes free perfume.
Sears- I have until January to pay off my 0% financing offer on my TV then I'm cancelling the card. Not like it matters but I hear they are increasing the interest rate again! It's already at 26.4%! Plus I no longer support a business that pays their employees next to nothing.
I have a Gold Amex (not sure how it'd different than regular - it just showed up in the mail), a gold visa, a platinum visa, and a regular Paypal Visa (comes right out of paypal). No store cards for me.
I like them all The Amex helps me out in jams when I'm not sure if I've over-spent on the visas.
