I'm going to philadelphia for barbra streisand's oct. 4th concert and I'm looking for a hotel for under $200. A few years ago we stayed at the Embassy Suites, but the price has gone way up. Any suggestions?

We plan on getting into town around noon and want to do some shopping and site-seeing before the show. We're heading back to New York Thursday morning. What are the names of thrift/consignment/vintage shops with a good selection/prices? Any boutiques I should check out?

I'm excited about the show. Is anyone else going?

Thanks in advance.

I live an hour outside of Philly. Not sure about hotels unfortunately.. but I would definately try to get to Manayunk. It is the coolest area around Philly.. lots of cute shops and restaurants. That particular area has a lot of character. Have fun!

I would go to www.biddingfortravel.com.  This site is kind  of like a "cheat sheet" for priceline bidding.   I have gotten some great hotels in Philly including the Park Hyatt, the Sofitel and Loew's, using this site and priceline.
