Lingerie straps on dress?

I bought a dress on ebay and it had an elastic band that hooks to secure your bra (I think that is what it is used for, I'm actually not sure how it works).  Anyway, the hook was missing off of one of them so it won't close correctly.  I was going to mention this to the seller but I want to make sure I'm using the correct term to describe them.  Are they called lingerie straps?
