My grandmother, who I am VERY close to, has been bleeding from her brain for a couple days now. It is totally unoperable and there isn't much they can do. She has a living will and they are going to put her in hospise tomorrow. She's 78.

My grandfather and mom need strength too.

It's weird.. no matter how much you prepare yourself for these things.. They always seem to be WAY worse than you expect.

Please keep me and my fam in your thoughts and prayers.. and if you don't pray, please send some comfort and positive vibes my way. It is only going to get worse before it gets better.


And I think it is helping to write things out.. so if you girls don't mind....

I love you grandmom, more than you could ever know. I pray that you are comfortable and happy and will watch over me for years to come. I'll keep you in my heart which is where you have always been and I'll think about you all the time. Thank you for your love, kindness and generousity. You made me who I am today and I could never express how much you mean to me. Mom and I will take care of Pop and Missy, so please don't worry anymore. xoxo

It is good that she is on hospice care now, from my experience hospice staff make a huge effort to make their patients very comfortable.

I'm so sorry. I'll be sending lots of good thoughts your way.


I've lost someone very close to me and I can't say I don't miss him more than I ever thought I would, but the more I think about him and imagine what he'd say in certain situations (how happy he'd be, what joke he'd laugh at, etc.), the more I feel he's with me almost more than he was when he was here.
