I mean, it's not like I'd walk in there dressed like a bum, but ....

Do I need to wear slacks?  Or can I dress up some jeans and be fine?  Seems like one of those things people just 'know', but apparently I was left out of that loop!

I'm feeling the need to 'Dress for the mortgage I want' ...

I probably wouldn't dress up too much, but wear something you'd wear to a casual workplace.  I think nice jeans would be fine.

not in my opinion...

I mean honestly they aren't doing you a favor if anything you'll be doing them a favor by the time they get their commission

so you really don't have to impress them..

ITA with this. It's gonna be fine. Besides, you always look adorable anyway. And to be honest, in my experience on the business side usually the people who looked / dressed the least like it had the most money.

I totally agree, it really doesn't matter what you wear.  Looking nice won't hurt, but I'm pretty sure that I wore yoga pants and a long sleeved tee when we first met with the broker.  Granted, I was 8 months pregnant, but my husband definitely was not dressed up and it had no impact on the outcome.
