Classic fall/winter jacket?

I'm looking for a light fall/winter jacket that will last for years. I live in Florida and really only need it for about a month (if that) out of the year, and for when I travel to colder climates. Nothing heavy because I just don't need it, the coldest it gets here is about 50-60 for about 2 weeks out of the year.


So I want something that will last for several years and several trends. I don't want to spend more than $200 right now. Any ideas?? Oh and I have kids so it has to wash well. :)

When I think Classic fall/winter jacket I think Trench and specifically Burberry Trench.  I would check out Dillards, Macys etc for a trench style jacket.  It would be best because most are cotton (easy to wash) and have button or zip out linings so it would work for the not so cold winters in Florida.
