So I just received my first payment for an interior design job, ever... yay! And I want to celebrate by spending part of it on a pair of really nice, versatile flats to keep forever. The chic-est of my fellow guests on the France trip were wearing adorable little high-end ballet flats and I loved them. (There were also a couple fellow guests who wore enormous dark sunglesses everywhere they went, including indoors... this despite the fact that it was overcast most of the time we were there... can you say pretentious?) I'm trying to cure myself of my heel habit by embracing lovely flats, so pumps are out. These are the two that I'm thinking of at the moment, and they are about the same price (+/- $350). Anyone have any other suggestions, or thoughts on which one would be best?
I like the loeffler randall ones best, but snakeskin is very delicate, and may not hold up well with all the walking you do. ETA: I changed my vote - I discovered that these are embossed printed leather - much more practical (you can't tell they aren't python - they're very nicely done)
I love the gucci's, they will forever be in style - even my husband has gucci loafers with a horsebit. I don't know that I love the style of these though - maybe some simpler, less summery (fabric & bamboo say summer to me)
the chloe ones look classic and will hold up well - I'm putting my vote there
congrats on your first paying design job!

I adore the LR ones...and am now considering those for myself. It's funny, I remember buying a pair of black patent slingbacks when I passed the bar...I still look with love upon those shoes and wear the hell out of them even two years later! Congratulations on your first of many successful projects!
i voted for the Chloes...but i should note that i have an extreme snake phobia and there's no way i could ever vote for/try on/encourage the purchasing of/nearly even look at those shoes...because yes, i am neurotic and therefore totally biased in this poll. but the Chloes are lovely...
and congrats on the job! (this wouldn't happen to be that one interview you were worried about would it?)
thanks for all the suggestions girls! I still completely can't decide. Argh. But for those who asked, this was actually not the job where I posted the three interview outfits--for that one, the client decided not to do the job. This was the first one I got. Decisions!
