What is your "Never Fails" Travel outfit?
Permalink Closed

I am going on a few vacations coming up and need some new ideas on what to wear as my travelling outfit. I want to look cute, but still be comfortable. I really dont' like to wear "sweats/lounge wear" outside of my house, so I am welcoming any other suggestions. You all give such good fashion advice, and are so creative, I'm hoping some of this will rub off on me!

TIA!

I fly quite a bit and in the fall my travel look is jeans with flats (easy on and off for the airport), a fitted tee, and my bcbg cardiwrap.  The cardiwrap is great for on the plane or airport when I get cold.  The tee is perfect if I am a little warmer.  HTH!

I second the pair of flats. Invest in a pair of ballet flats, which are super comfy and stylish too. I bought a few pairs at Nine West a while back and they were really cheap. Also, I love to wear layering tees when I travel (C&C are great, but there's plenty out there to choose from now) because if it gets hot I can take one off, or if it's cool, I'm warm enough with two shirts on.

I have the cole haan air beau ballet flats, and they are as comfy as sneakers, but so much cuter.  I tend to wear those, a pair of dark jeans (in case I spill at starbucks), a long sleeve scoopneck tee - and then...either my super cushy black wrap sweater.  I also carry a pashmina and some socks to wear on the plane.  My feet always get cold!  I am trying to find a non-denim pair of pants that are comfy, and I might get some cord trousers as an alternate.

I always try to dress in basic black/white/denim because my luggage and carryon are bright so I try to be neutral. I usually wear a black or white tee, cute jeans, and either black flats or flipflops. I accessorize with a chunky necklace or big gold hoops. I also carry a cardigan and pashmina... I get cold on planes and use the pashmina as a blanket.
