STYLETHREAD -- LET'S TALK SHOP!

i have that bag in chocolate leather w/ the guccisima logo imprinted on the leather.  here's what bothers me about the one you're considering:

1)  i don't remember this bag ever coming in that tan color.  it came in red, white, and black smooth leather.  and for the guccisima imprinted on the leather, it came in chocolate (mine) and a pretty dark teal color (not navy, more like turquoise but deeper).  the gucci salesgirl specifically said that if i ever saw a black guccisima one, it was for sure fake because they never made it in that color.  i remember because i was on a black bag hunt at the time.  but anyway, i for sure would've remembered seeing a tan one.  by the way, this was last march, so roughly 6 months ago.

2)  the thing that struck me as odd the first time i saw the pic is the color of the zipper.  my zipper is gold.  it is not the same color as the bag.

3)  another zipper thing, this is really hard to explain but i'll try my best.  you know the actual zipper part of the bag?  in the pic, it looks like it starts where the bag starts.  but in reality, my bag's zipper doesn't do that.  the actual zipper starts a little before the bag's opening, and the zipper has "gucci" engraved in it in little letters on the back.  if this bag was for real, they should have shown a picture of the gold "gucci" zipper.  and attached to the zipper is a little leather piece so when you go to unzip the bag, you're not grasping the metal, you're grasping the little brown leather piece.  the bag in the picture doesn't have that. 

4)  what does the description mean by magnetic closure?  there is not magnetic closure on this bag, just the zipper.

so i think it's definitely fake.  but i have to say, these fakes are getting much better because they've got the lining down pat.
