However, in playing around with my closet, I found out it doesn't *quite* work with my wardrobe. I have maybe two shirts I can pair under it and still feel like myself BUT those two shirts are collared shirts so I end up looking like a 8 year old with DD boobs. I can't say that's a look I'm going for. I also think it emphasizes how short my waist is.
I don't like the idea of 'forcing' anything to fit into my wardrobe, but I know it looks good on. I am thinking the cost of the jumper would be better spent on a pair of skinny jeans from Madewell or that I could put the cost towards the YSL Muse.
Hmm...well my new fashion philosophy is to only buy pieces that I love AND that will work with a few other things in my wardrobe. This is because I always end up buying things I fall in love with but then I don't know what to do with them.
I think the jumper is very cute and flattering on you and I don't think it's too expensive. But I would consider the price vs. how much you will wear it and how many other things it goes with. If you think you would wear the jeans more (or if your Muse budget needs another $60 thrown in), then maybe that is better?

I think it looks great on you. Instead of putting something under it, could you wear it with a jacket, sweater, or cropped top over it? Considering how well it fits and the price, it seems a shame to give it up.
I think that it is super cute. Could you not wear it with a cute cardi like in the pic? However, if you really can't see it fitting in, return it and put that money towards something that you need, like the Muse.
I vote Keep it looks so awesome on you. What about a thin l/s shirt or thin turtleneck? I also like the idea of a shrug, jacket over it. I love how your have it with the belt
oh my goodness lilykind keep it. it looks so cute on you and that's a great price! and i agree w/everyone else, can't you wear a cardi over it as pictured? it's perfect!
While is is very cute on you, I am of the belief that you should have to buy more clothes to make something new work. I think you should return and put the extra money toward your Muse.

I vote keep too. It really looks great on you. But I understand that if something just doesn't work, it doesn't work, and if that's really the case, then your money is better spent on something else that won't sit unused in your closet.
What about a short sleeve tee shirt underneath? I'm thinking a bright crew neck shirt and then maybe wearing a different belt that's in a different color/pattern? Or how about a waffle knit henly for a more casual look? I think it's a fairly versatile piece that you can experiment with and get a lot of looks out of it.

ITA. Plus, it's not like a jumper is such a classic item that you should tear out your hair trying to make it work.
Plus if you return it, that'll pay for part of the sales tax on the Muse.

It just looks so cute and stylish on you that I think it would be a shame to return it. But obviously, if you really don't think you'll wear it or feel comfortable in it, there's no point in keeping it.
I still voted keep, just because it's so adorable!
I'm returning it. The back is basically an X for the straps so wearing shrugs is out of the question. I feel like I'd have to buy a new wardrobe to make it work without feeling boring (I hate solid on solid) and that shouldn't be the case.
I also can't figure out what shoes to wear it with...it's too casual for most of my pretty new shoes and navy is just a color that generally confunds me as a whole.
