Jessica Simpson is Single. Again.


Seemingly over before it even began, John Mayer and Jessica Simpson have reportedly already split. According to Page Six, and your deductive reasoning, John Mayer is already sick of her.


...Mayer has already dumped Simpson, because, insiders say, she and her pals are too loose-lipped for the reclusive Mayer. One person in the Mayer camp told Us Weekly the relationship "was a 2 [that] her camp spun into an 11 . . . [Mayer] thinks it's desperate . . . an attempt to stay in the spotlight."

It's hard to argue this when these two had been dating for less than a month before Jessica was on the cover of People magazine saying, "I'm in love!" Jesus, have some dignity. Or at least show a little respect. Most doctors would agree that this type of thing would make you look like an idiot. Sorry, doctors, Jessica Simpson doesn't have time for your science and logic. She's clearly a genius. If she gets any smarter, she'll be able to tie her shoes or count back change.

I would actually be quite pissed off if I was John Mayer. Saying "I'm in love!" after less than a month? If I were JM, and she said that to me in private, I would think it was waaaaayyyy too early. But to declare it on a magazine? I would be angry!

She was on The View yesterday & said that People blew it way of proportion & she doesn't know where they got the "i'm in love" quote because she never said that. I kind of felt sorry for her after listening to her a bit & I am no fan of hers!

did she give an interview to people? i read the story in us, and it was all just quotes from people "close to" her or him, not from JS or JM. either way, this might be the shortest celeb relationship ever, except for the one with kimberly stewart and that MTV guy she was engaged to -- talan something?

Just kidding.


I read the article about her being "in love" on People's website and it had Joe Simpson written all over it.  They were quoting sources as saying she "tiptoeing back into dating" and all sorts of other nonsense.  There was just something about it that made me think Papa Joe was behind the whole thing.  Yuck.

ditto--I think Joe is in love with Jessica anyway. The way he watches her and looks at her--it is weird! Especially for former preacher gone entertainment manager!
