i can't stop shopping on QVC!!  (dotcom, i can't STAND the show)

let me explain...I was searching for some KJL stuff and I got directed to the QVC website.  Well, since I bought my KJL stuff at an AMAZING price, i have been all over QVC.  i am finding some cute things at great prices, but i am imagining the "typical" audience for QVC aka my grandma in her mumu and i feel like you ladies would be ashamed.

The things i have been looking at/buying...

KJL Strawberry Pendant w/36" Chain bought. for $45 (shopbop was selling it for about $120).

KJL Bold Imperial Ring looking at.

EternaGold Set of 3 Slip On Bangles 14K Gold, 5.5g looking at.

18" Polished Multiple Circle Necklace 14K Gold, 4.0g looking at.

am i forgiven?  or shunned?

Your forgiven. When it comes to designer jewelry Qvc gets great prices.

I love finola huges (qvc sells for like 60% less) & mauri pioppe (again 60-70% less)

You are not alone!

shunned.

just kidding, of course! provided you're not buying any of the tacky normally seen from them, you're fine! besides, who cares where you got it, all that matters is that you got a good deal!

...although, I must admit, I don't think I would be as forthright as you have been with your disclosure! who am I to talk anyway, I buy thing from newport news and alloy

LOL.  You are totally forgiven.

A couple of years ago, my parents moved out into the middle of nowhere.  The closest clothing store is a Macy's, which is a two hour drive.  My Mom isn't very computer savvy, but she's gotten into the QVC site, and she has bought some really nice things.  At first I was a little weirded out by it.  I thought she'd become some recluse who went broke ordering strange things off QVC all the time.  However, once I saw the stuff she was buying (she mostly buys jewelry and gifts), I got over it.  It is a really good option for her since she really doesn't want to drive for hours just to shop.

I love the jewelry you picked out.  Great prices too!

you are forgiven.  that stuff is cute.  as long as you aren't buying the same items and grandma in her mumu, then you are ok.

hahaha.  when it appeared, i told my bf it was my mom's b-day gift.  i was too ashamed.

thanks for making me feel better.  it's good to know that i'm not alone.  i haven't hit up HSN yet.  i'm afraid to ask if i should or not.  i feel like QVC is bad enough.

on a side note, the apple KJL pendant i bought for $45 is selling on ebay for lots of money.  i should've bought more and sold them on ebay!!!  oh well.

One of my lowest moments was right after I got divorced shopping on QVC - I literally CRIED thinking to myself "I'm a 30 year old divorcee buying Spanx on QVC - what could be more pitiful"

But I got over it. And the stuff you got is cute. Now if you start buying bunny covers for your vacuum cleaner, we will need to have an intervention.

you're totally forgiven...just keep it within the realm of good taste.

and anyway, i have no room to criticize because i bought this bracelet from QVC (or it may have even been HSN...either way) for my wedding.  i found it by searching Froogle, and i'm soooo glad because i *never* would have searched those sites and it was exactly what i was looking for.

QVC has some pretty decent stuff.

My mom is an addicted QVC shopper.  She used to have it on ALL the time when I was in high school, so much so that I memorized the phone number (1-800-345-1515--I still remember it!) and the automated number (1800-345-1212) and my mom's old credit card number because she would order from them SO. DAMN. MUCH.  She'd return half the stuff anyway because she "just wanted to look at it" until my dad told her approximately how much money she was throwing away every month due to shipping.

One of my funniest moments in college was one drunken evening I prank called QVC trying to give a product testimonial.  They figured me out though when I started slurring.

this is SOOOOOOOOOO something i would do (maybe even now that i am out of college).  hahahaha.  that's classic.

i think my tab is under $200, right now.  there's about $200 worth of jewelry i want.  but thinking of my $45 necklace being listed at shopbop for $120, i'm not too bothered by my tab so far.

ncshopper- hilarious! my mom is also addicted to QVC.  she has it on all day and even likes to go to sleep to it - she seriously will call and order things in her sleep. not only did i have their phone # memorized, but it is still permanently burned into our TV screen when you change the channel!!!

the stuff you got is soo cute - i had to hit up the site myyself.  i have to admit - that i will "watch" hsn and qvc.  lol... being an ad major in college - i seriously will srctunize the selling capabilites of the hostess and analyze her approach based on product... i know what a nerd i am.  but seriously - you can find some great "diamonds" in the rough of all the crap they have.

and trust me- if you can't fall asleep - nothing will put you out faster than listening to some mutli utility egg-pasta-whisk tool! LOL
