I haven't used it in months and I'm so worried about messing it up that I'm down-right afraid to carry it.
Also, I am thinking that I could have 3 or 4 other bags of decent quality and still be able to stash some of the money I make from selling it.
I was thinking of putting it on ebay.. but for how much? It is brand new. I think I only used it about 10 times. I want it to be priced to sell but I also don't want people to think it is a fake.
How much do you think I should list it for? I was thinking $1100? Am I way off base here? It is like brand new.
I would also rather sell it to someone who will appreciate and love it.. hense this post. Are any of you girls still thinking of buying one? It is the tan/orange color and trust me it's amazing!
i did a quick ebay search of completed items, and it doesn't seem like people are paying much for the mid-size paddington these days (average of $250-$350, but as high as $1300). granted, i don't know which are fake/real, but i don't think you'd get much traffic if you listed it for over $750. i might start it lower but set a reserve...?
that said, there are some that got sold at their asking buy-it-now price. the key seems to be 1) gearing towards UK buyers and 2) adding lots of big high-quality pictures.
i'm adding some links of good examples of listings (that sold for pretty high prices) for your reference.
Your probably not going to get what you want for it. I say use it and abuse it! Better than letting it waste away out of site even though it would stay in perfect condition.
slightly off-topic, but while googling around I discovered a listing on iOffer for Chloe receipts... as in, you tell me the color/size/style name of the knockoff Paddy you want to unload, and I'll print up a receipt you can include with the bag to make it look more authentic. I was pretty amazed at the extent people will go to make money with this knock-off bag stuff.
Check with the ladies at purseforum about the best way to list your paddington. while you can't solicit them outright to go to your ebay auction, they can give you tips on listing the bag.
honestly i think $1100 is too high for the bag. iirc the original selling price for those bags wasn't that much higher than $1100 maybe around $1500-$1600. if i were in the market for a padddington, i wouldn't really consider an ebay auction that started at that price.
if i were you i would probably price it at around $800 and do one of those best offer things. you could probably go a little higher, though i wouldn't go above $900.
